Meal Kit Addendum
Purpose: These additions apply when your order includes meal kits (raw or minimally processed ingredients + recipe cards) rather than fully prepared meals. If there is a conflict between this Addendum and the Terms above, this Addendum controls for meal‑kit orders.
A1) Weekly Menu, Selections & Defaults
- Weekly Menu Window. We publish menus multiple weeks in advance. You can pick recipes and add‑ons (proteins, sides, breakfasts, snacks) until the published cutoff for your next scheduled delivery.
- Cutoff & Lock. All changes (select, swap, skip, address/date edits, pauses/cancellations) must be made by the cutoff shown in your account. After cutoff, the order locks for that week.
- Default Picks. If you don't select recipes by cutoff, we will auto‑select a chef's assortment based on your stated preferences (e.g., veggie, calorie‑smart, spicy level) and past orders.
- Skips. You may skip any available future week from your account before the cutoff. Skipping does not cancel your subscription.
A2) Ingredients, Allergens & Nutrition
- Allergen Disclosure. Recipe cards and product pages list ingredient statements and top allergens.
- Cross‑Contact Warning. Meal‑kit facilities handle common allergens; cross‑contact can occur. If you have severe allergies, you must use the Services with caution.
- Nutrition Info. Calories/macros on recipe cards are estimates and can vary with yields and substitutions.
A3) Food Safety & Cooking
- Your Responsibilities. Meal kits may include raw proteins and perishable produce. You are responsible for immediate refrigeration on delivery, safe storage (≤ 40°F / 4°C), proper washing, and cooking to safe internal temperatures. Follow the recipe card instructions and any USDA/FSIS guidance.
- Use‑By Windows. Cook seafood and poultry first; follow recipe card guidance for sequencing and use‑by timing. When in doubt, freeze items promptly.
- Appliance Variability. Times/temperatures on cards are guidelines only; ovens, stovetops, and small appliances vary.
A4) Packaging, Dry Ice & Recycling
- Insulation & Coolants. Boxes may include gel packs or dry ice. Do not handle dry ice with bare hands; allow it to evaporate in a well‑ventilated area away from children and pets.
- Recycling. Check local rules for cardboard, liners, plastics, and gel‑pack disposal.
A5) Delivery & Risk of Loss (Meal Kits)
- Carrier Delivery. We may ship via third‑party carriers. Delivery estimates are not guarantees.
- Drop‑Off & Title. Title and risk of loss pass when the box is delivered to your address or left at the designated location. You authorize unattended delivery where permitted.
- Missed Deliveries. If a carrier marks a package delivered but you cannot locate it, contact Support within 24 hours for assistance.
A6) Substitutions & Out‑of‑Stocks
We may substitute comparable ingredients (e.g., herb variety, produce size) to ensure freshness and delivery continuity. Substitutions will maintain dietary category where feasible.
A7) Quality Guarantee (Meal Kits)
If an ingredient arrives damaged or unsafe, contact Support within 5 days of delivery with photos and lot details. Remedies may include a credit, partial refund, or replacement in our discretion. Due to perishability, returns are not accepted.
A8) Gifts, Vouchers & Trials
Gift cards and promotional vouchers have stated terms and expirations. Trials convert to paid plans unless you cancel by the cutoff.
A9) No Resale; Household Use Only
Meal kits are for personal/household use and may not be resold without our written consent.
Privacy Addendum for Meal Kits
P1) Categories Specific to Meal Kits
We additionally collect: recipe selections, taste preferences (e.g., spice level), household size, cooking skill indicators, pantry add‑ons, and feedback/ratings on recipes.
P2) Use of Data (Enhancements)
We use the above to: personalize weekly menus; default‑pick when you don't select by cutoff; forecast ingredient demand; and improve recipes and packaging.
P3) Sharing (Enhancements)
We share delivery names, addresses, phone numbers, and delivery notes with third‑party carriers and logistics partners to ship and track your box. We may share anonymized or aggregated recipe‑rating data to improve menus.
P4) Your Choices
You can update preferences and manage skips/cancellations in your account up to the published cutoff. You may opt out of recipe‑marketing emails/SMS at any time; transactional alerts will continue for active orders.
